Gel Printing: Collage to Concertina Book Class
A hands-on afternoon workshop exploring gel plate monoprinting and collage techniques, including stenciling, multi-layer printing, photo transfers, and bookmaking.

Bring your old prints and make some new ones. Join others for an afternoon of printmaking and collage integrating gell prints with other materials.
We will explore
- a variety of stencils and texture-making materials
- multi layer printing
- different papers
- photo transfer
- collage and/or concertina book making
Gell printing is an easy-to-learn, versatile monoprint technique that uses a flexible, reusable gel plate to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind prints.
materials provided:
- Gel Print Plates 5×7 larger recommended
- Basic acrylic paint – small tubes, assorted colors
- Paper – variety of papers
- Brayers, stencils, brushes
You bring:
- Matte Medium (small container of Liquitex or Golden)
- Color Laser Prints of photos (even for black and white photo) – this is for transfers
optional to bring:
- Additional papers for collaging (strong tissue paper, rice paper, pages from old books or magazines)
- Stencils or stamps
