Winter 2025
Guided Open Studio
Tuesday
January 6 – April 28
9:00-12:00 am

Explore your ideas and your medium of choice in a fun and supportive studio environment. Immerse yourself in a long term project or dip into new and experimental processes. Each session begins with a group check-in and an optional lesson focused on a specific drawing or painting technique. Afterward, you’ll have a dedicated period of independent work time to explore the lesson further or dive into your own artistic interests. At the end of each class, we share our work, fostering a sense of community and mutual inspiration.
Please bring your own basic supplies, such as paper, canvas, and painting or drawing materials. The studio provides extra brushes, palettes, water containers, rags, and basic materials for drawing, painting, and collage to help you get started – or fill in if you forget something.
$50/session

Experiment with wet-on-wet techniques, dry-on-wet techniques, tonal values, and even salt to make beautiful and unique paintings. In each session, we will choose a different theme that will allow us to leave each session with a finished painting while practicing skills we can use on new ones.
